David Fonseca was one of the 2016 edition of the “Authors Prize” the Portuguese Society of Authors. At a ceremony held yesterday at the National Theatre D. Maria and broadcasted on by RTP2, David Fonseca saw “Chama-me que eu vou”, one of the songs included in his latest album “Futuro Eu,” being elected “Best Popular Music Song”.
In an unprecedented distinction for David Fonseca, the author was keen to share the prize with the other nominees – Diogo Piçarra and Carlão – and dedicate it “to all the people who attend my concerts systematically and share night after night follies that pass through my head and making them real”.
“Chama-me que eu vou” had been highlighted at the end of 2015 as one of the songs of the year being the video – see HERE – highlighted at national media.
Based on “Futuro Eu,” David Fonseca continues the indoors tour started last October, with the next stop at the Auditório Municipal de Olhão, tomorrow, the 24th.
